Can ZONESUN Shampoo Filling Machines Handle Different Types of Shampoo?

Shampoo comes in very different forms (like gel-like or powder), and this makes a real difference in how it should be filled.
Liquid & Gel Shampoo
These shampoos usually have a viscosity somewhere between 1,000 and 20,000 cP. Because they don’t flow very easily and have more internal resistance, the filling system needs to push the product into the bottles in a controlled way. That’s why piston pump or gear pump filling machines are most commonly used—they grab a fixed amount of shampoo and push it forward. These shampoos are often packed in pump bottles, disc-top bottles, or sachets. Powder Shampoo.

Powder Shampoo
The product comes in the form of dry powder , which is completely different from liquids or gel-like shampoo. Most packaging machine manufacturers, including ZONESUN, recommend the auger filling machine—a predefined number of auger rotations ensures accurate powder fill for every container.

In practice, powder shampoos are commonly packaged into sachets or bottles.The measuring systems are the same as mentioned above, machine configuration may be different, for bottle shampoo products, vertical linear type filling machine will be recommended while sachet type will use vertical form fill seal machine or specialized premade pouch filling sealing machine.
Important note:
Machines designed for filling liquid shampoo cannot be used for powder shampoo! The working principles are entirely different.

Bottle Shampoo Packaging Process

The typical bottle shampoo packaging process starts with automatic bottle infeeding, followed by piston pump filling to ensure accurate dosing of liquid or gel shampoo. After filling, bottles are transferred to the capping station, where pump caps or disc-top caps are fed and applied to ensure secure sealing. Next step is using bottle labeling machine to apply sticker onto bottles, which can support single-side, double-side, or wrap-around labels depending on packaging requirements.The process is completed by bottle outfeeding.

This standard production flow of small or medium scale shampoo production requires a stable filling system capable of handling different shampoo viscosities, reliable capping performance(pump caps feeding machine is optional), and smooth integration with bottle labeling machines.
