The ZONESUN cap inspection system is designed to automatically detect cap defects and induction seal liner presence after capping and sealing processes. Using contact-based inspection technology for detecting tilted caps and metal detection technology for aluminum foil liner verification, the system combines both inspection results to determine product qualification. Bottles with loose caps, misaligned caps, missing liners, or defective seals are automatically rejected into a dedicated side collection channel. The machine can be integrated with capping machines and induction sealers for automated quality control and is widely used in beverage, food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. Various rejection methods, including pusher-type and lane-diverting systems, can be customized according to bottle specifications and production requirements.

The intuitive touchscreen control panel allows operators to monitor inspection status, defect statistics, and machine operation in real time.

The dual sponge bottle separating device spaces bottles evenly before inspection, ensuring stable bottle positioning for accurate cap inspection and foil liner detection.

This inspection module combines contact-based cap inspection with metal detection technology to verify cap alignment and aluminum foil liner presence simultaneously.

After inspection, defective bottles are automatically separated from qualified products. The system rejects bottles with loose caps, misaligned caps, missing foil liner, helping maintain consistent product quality.

The conveyor system transports bottles steadily through the inspection area . It can be seamlessly integrated with capping machines, induction sealers, labeling machines, and other packaging equipment to create a fully automated packaging line.

FAQ of Cap Inspection System
1. What defects can this inspection system detect?
The system is designed to detect common packaging defects, including:
- Missing foil seals
- Crooked or skewed caps
- Loose caps
- Incorrect cap positioning
- Missing caps
- Damaged caps (not suitable)
2. What types of containers can be inspected?
The inspection system is compatible with a wide range of container and closure materials, including plastic bottles, glass bottles, plastic caps, and metal caps.
The inspection performance is generally not affected by the bottle or cap material. Instead, machine configuration is primarily determined by the dimensions of the container and closure, such as bottle diameter, height, cap diameter, and cap profile.
For different container sizes, guide rails, inspection parameters, and handling components can be adjusted to ensure reliable inspection and product transfer.
3. Can the machine be integrated into an existing production line?
Yes. The inspection system is designed for inline operation and can be installed after capping or induction sealing machines.
4. Can one machine inspect different bottle sizes?
Yes. The machine supports changeover between different containers.
For products with significant size differences, adjustment parts or additional change parts may be required.
5. What information is required for machine selection?
To recommend a suitable solution, please provide:
- Cap Type
- Bottle dimensions
- Production speed
- Bottle and cap photos
- Defect types to be inspected
- Existing production line layout
- Whether induction sealing is used
6. How does the cap inspection system work?
Two inspection technologies run in combination — contact-based cap inspection and metal detection. The cap inspection module checks alignment and tightness at the cap itself. The metal detector reads whether the aluminum foil liner is present beneath it.
